The Lakers are still angry with Jamal Murray from a couple nights ago when he trash talked Lonzo Ball and got on head coach, Luke Walton’s bad side. This game will be different this time around as the atmosphere will be filled with more Lakers fans than Nuggets fans who are ready to boo Jamal Murray every time he touches the ball in the historic Staples Center.
It will not be easy for the Nuggets, but they are capable of getting a win on the road. First of all, they have to control the glass. The Lakers are one of the better teams in the league at getting second chance points. Jokic and Millsap will have their work cut out for them against this young Los Angeles Lakers front court.
The Nuggets will also have to make sure their three point shots are falling. Their offense pretty much hinges on if the deep ball is going in and if it is not, it will play right into the Lakers’ hands. Freeing up shooters with off ball picks and setting solid screens will be vital in this match up against Los Angeles.
Nikola Jokic will be called upon to deliver another star like game as Denver is looking to him to carry them to the post season. If the Lakers are able to contain him, it will be up to Millsap or Harris to step up and pick up the slack for the Joker.
