Despite a near fourth quarter collapse, the Denver Nuggets were able to take care of business at home against the Detroit Pistons.

The Denver Nuggets came into this one after a terrible defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers. It is safe to say they had a bit of a chip on their shoulder and came out of the gates looking to make a statement.

More from Nugg Love

Both the Pistons and Nuggets are battling for a spot in the post season, but Denver was more hungry in this game.

There was a bit of a scare as Gary Harris took a nasty fall and had to leave the game with an apparent knee injury. The X rays came back negative, but we will have to keep an eye on this situation as it progresses.

On to the good now. Nikola Jokic had another great game as he recorded his eighth triple double of the year, which is the third most this season behind Russell Westbrook and LeBron James by the way. Not to mention, he had one of his best defensive games of his career as he came away with three steals and three blocks. A great showing by the Joker who needs to do all he can to will this team to the playoffs.

Paul Millsap got back into a bit of offensive form as he finished the night with 14 points and shot 50% from the field. He was a +12 for the game in the box plus/minus department.

Jamal Murray showcased his ceiling as he was the high man with 26 points on a remarkable 52.9% from the field and also shot 62.5 from the three point line. The nine rebounds were also impressive. Sorry Lakers fans, our point guard is better than yours.
