The Denver Nuggets will have their hands full against the Miami Heat.

The Denver Nuggets have their work cut out for them against the Miami Heat. There is a chance they may be without Gary Harris again, which means Dwyane Wade will have a good opportunity to go off against this struggling Nuggets defense.

More from Nugg Love

The team as a whole will have to have their eyes on Wade. Wade may not be in his prime anymore, however, he has looked re-vitalized ever since he was traded back to Miami, where it all started for the future hall of famer.

Denver has a habit of letting aging veterans wind back the clock and making them look like stars again. See the Sacramento loss this year where Vince Carter looked like the Vince Carter from his Toronto days.

Wade will be out to make a statement and is showing why this Miami squad is still “his team.” As a result, Denver must be willing to commit extra defensive help to the future hall of famer. When he drives, do not be afraid to slide and sacrifice an open shooter to prevent Wade from getting a highlight reel basket. A basket which could turn the momentum against Denver’s favor.

If the Nuggets are bound to lose this game, they must make the role players beat them rather than Wade. Let’s be honest, Wade has defeated the Nuggets plenty of times in his career, so he is plenty familiar with his franchise. Don’t forget, he came close to coming to the Mile High when he was a free agent a few seasons ago.

If Wade gets hot, then Denver may as well count this game as a loss as well.

Next: Malone must go

I have been hard on this team, but if they want to prevail over a D Wade led team, they are going to need some tough love.
