By now, there is no denying the Denver Nuggets have one of the brightest futures out of all 30 NBA teams.

They make some noise this season, they may not. However, one cannot help but feel an overwhelming sense of foreboding when it comes to this young core.

Particularly the young trio consisting of Jamal Murray, Gary Harris and Nikola Jokic. While Harris and Murray are often brought up in some trade speculation for star player A and B, it would benefit the team more for them to roll with these two and try to cultivate their own “Big Three.”

Harris is coming off a season where he averaged nearly 18 points per game. Murray on the other hand, upped his scoring all the way from almost 10 points per game to about 16 points per game.

We already know what Nikola Jokic brings to the table and how great his offensive impact is for the team. What does get overlooked is the rest of the personnel surrounding the core.

People often forget, Paul Millsap is actually a four time All Star and was the Hawks clear cut best player when he was in Atlanta. He is still going to be in Denver for at least one more year.

Say what you will about Will Barton at times, trust me I want to tear out my hair watching his shot selection sometimes as well. However, he is adept at creating his own shot and not afraid of the big moments (he did have a game winning lay up this past season).

Malik Beasley has a great work ethic and is only going to get better which should translate into more playing time rather averaging a measly three minutes per game. Not to mention, Torrey Craig has the frame and skill set to become the league’s next premier defensive specialist and will be a valuable glue guy coming off the bench.

Whatever transpires this season, one cannot deny that the sky is the limit for this talented Denver Nuggets team. Don’t be shocked if we see a Conference Finals, or even a Finals appearance in the near future.
