Denver Nuggets: Most underrated move of the off season
By Mathew Huff
It is no secret by now that the Denver Nuggets have been active this off season.
With that being said, which one of these moves is the most “under the radar move,” for the Denver Nuggets? We all know it was vital for the team to lock Nikola Jokic up long term, which they did with a four year extension.

They also somewhat surprised fans by signing Will Barton for another four years as well. Then, came the draft.
The Nuggets arguably got the steal of the draft in Michael Porter Jr., if he is healthy. The Nuggets then were able to shed some salary by trading Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur.
Fast forward a bit later and the Nuggets got Isaiah Thomas on a one year, veteran minimum contract. Surprisingly, they got Thomas for this cheap considering he is only a year removed from being an MVP candidate.
They also promoted Monte Morris to the active roster and gave him a new deal after an impressive Summer League showing. However, there is one overlooked move which deserves more credit.
That would be signing Torrey Craig. While Craig is not the flashiest player, he has a significant role on this team.
He was considered the “LeBron of the G League,” for a reason and the Nuggets took a chance on him. Craig provides defensive versatility which will be crucial, especially with Wilson Chandler gone now.
Craig has the frame to contain some of the elite wings in the league like a Paul George and Giannis. The best part about this signing? Denver was able to get another key player in Torrey Craig for cheap like they did for Monte Morris and Isaiah Thomas.
It was key for the Denver Nuggets to sign Torrey Craig as it gives the team some much needed depth on the bench.
Craig will be vital to Denver’s success this season which is why this is their most underrated move of the off season.
