With the NBA schedules now released, it is imperative for the Denver Nuggets to dominate the first stretch of their schedule.
The Denver Nuggets got a break on their schedule this season….kind of. They still have a brutal last stretch of games, but they will at least have more home games and fewer road trips which last several games than they did last season.

With all of this in mind, they have to get off to a solid start at the beginning of the regular season. They must do this, so they have a bit of a cushion for when the difficult games come and they are not fighting for their playoff lives like they were last season.
For their first portion of games, the Nuggets will have a total of nine out of their first 15 games played at Pepsi Center.
They will start off the season in Los Angeles taking on the Clippers, a team who was in the lottery last season and then welcome another lottery team, the Phoenix Suns, to their home only a few days later.
The other good news is that a good chunk of the beginning of the season is made up of teams who were worse than the Nuggets last year, case in point, the two teams I just listed as the first two squads they play this coming season.
They do play the Warriors for their third game of the season, however, there will be plenty of opportunities for the Nuggets to build up their win loss record. The key is starting off hot rather than playing catch up the end of the year. Especially when you see how brutal the end of the regular season is for this young Denver Nuggets team.
If the team truly wants to make the post season, they must handle their business at the beginning of the coming year.
