Like Harrison Barnes, Porter Jr possesses a well-rounded offensive game.
Barnes is a multi-faceted scorer, averaging 19 points the past two years (ESPN). However, MPJ sports more size, a better shot, and superior athleticism.
This comparison is less exciting to Nuggets fans. Barnes doesn’t exactly carry a superstar presence. The SI writer does admit MPJ could someday prove this resemblance to be “underwhelming.”
However, there are a lot worse comparisons and scenarios for the Denver Nuggets’ rookie.
After all, Barnes has seemed to find more of a home as one of the main scoring options with the Dallas Mavericks rather than being overshadowed by the plethora of stars the Golden State Warriors possess.
