This scenario has Denver faithful cringing.
A projected beast of a center, Oden played just 105 career games. His final season (2013-2014), Oden averaged just 2.9 points in 23 appearances (ESPN).
Obviously, this is the worst-case scenario.
It is unlikely Porter Jr’s back would cause this significant of a plummet.
But it certainly isn’t impossible.
Stories like Oden’s cause great worry among teams at draft time.
If we are lucky, Michael Porter Jr. will overcome the Greg Oden curse and at least pan out to be a decent role player for this evolving Denver Nuggets’ core.
