While this season looks to be promising for the Denver Nuggets, there is still a major hurdle for them to overcome.

Like every team, the Denver Nuggets will have a plethora of challenges to face when the new NBA season finally shows up at our front doors. However, there is a particular one they have to be wary of which will define their entire season.

The Denver Nuggets have to find a way to remain healthy throughout the year. Last year, one could point to the injury bug as a big part of their problems in remaining consistent throughout the season.

Do not forget, Paul Millsap went down in the beginning of the season with a wrist injury which sidelined him for 75% of the year. Not a great year for the prize free agent acquisition of the team.

Not to mention, Nikola Jokic even missed a week in the month of December when he sprained his ankle. On top of all this, Gary Harris went down with an injury at the end of the season when the Nuggets were making their hard push for a spot in the Western Conference post season picture.

Harris did come back for the past couple of games and did get a clutch steal from C.J. McCollum in a division rival game against the Portland Trail Blazers which would solidify the win for the Nuggets. Millsap was there at the end of the season, but was clearly still rusty.

However, with all of these players going down and still being one game away from the post season, there is a lot of hope for this upcoming season for good reason.

With a healthy Paul Millsap, this team is built for at least a sixth seed in the West.
