The Denver Nuggets newly acquired Isaiah Thomas has high hopes for the team this coming season.

Isaiah Thomas had some interesting comments about the Denver Nuggets for this coming season recently.

He seems fully committed to the team’s vision of the future and is ready to help propel them to the next step in their progress.

Here is what Isaiah had to say about the team and his goals for them this year.

"“It’s a long season of 82 games—plus the playoffs, which we will be making this year.”"

As one can see, the confidence in the team is sky high with the team this coming season. He is looking to bounce back this coming year after a down season which saw him get traded mid season to the Los Angeles Lakers.

More from Nugg Love

He is only a couple seasons removed from being an MVP candidate and averaged nearly 30 points per game. Not to mention, he also made the All NBA Team that season as well. If Thomas is even half of what he was in his Boston days, then the Denver Nuggets are going to be in for a treat.

Thomas has had a chip on his shoulder since last season. He was upset about the Celtics trading him after he gave his heart and soul to the organization then was cast out of Cleveland after a rocky relationship with their locker room.

However, him being familiar with Michael Malone from his Sacramento Kings days should help and he should be able to find a role on this Denver squad. It is great to see the new point guard have such high hopes for a young and budding core.

It is great to see Thomas ready to take the season by storm with his new team.

His hopes are well placed to say the very least.
