The Denver Nuggets’ Paul Millsap will be looking to bounce back this coming season.

With this in mind, many fans are already writing Millsap off as a loss for the Denver Nuggets. The prize free agent acquisition for the team a couple summers ago went down with a wrist injury at the beginning of the year and was sidelined for the heart of the regular season.

He did come back at the end, but was still clearly not 100%. Now, many fans are demanding that he be traded since he is not living up to his three year, $90 million contract which is unfair considering we have not gotten a good enough sample size yet from the veteran power forward.

He is considered one of the elite power forwards in today’s NBA for a reason. Here is a list of all of his accolades and accomplishments throughout his NBA career. Millsap is a four time All Star, was the January 2015 player of the month, has three seasons under his belt where he finished top 10 in steals and also finished sixth in offensive rebounds in the 2008-09 season.

It does not end there though. Millsap also has played three seasons where he was healthy for all 82 games showcasing his durability. Millsap is also a 2007-08 All Rookie recepient and also made the 2015-16 All Defensive Team.

That alone shows he was brought in to assist with Denver’s porous defense. The Nuggets already have a deadly array of offensive weapons and they were clearly more focused on the defensive end when Millsap was out on the court this past season.

With all of this in mind, the Nuggets faithful needs to be more patient and let Millsap at least give us a year before we start running him out of the Mile High.
