Denver Nuggets: Gary Harris dissed by NBA 2K
By Mathew Huff
The Denver Nuggets’ Gary Harris was recently rated by NBA 2K at a criminal rating of 83.
While this is actually a pretty good rating for the Denver Nuggets’ two way player, we need to put this into context. Here are a few players who are rated higher than Gary Harris so far.

Goran Dragic with an 84, Khris Middleton with an 84, Jayson Tatum with an 87, Jaylen Brown with an 84, DeAndre Jordan with an 86 and last but not least, Devin Booker with an 87.
Harris should be rated higher than most of these players, if not all of them. Let’s talk about why.
Dragic did make the All Star game last year, but in terms of defensive impact, I am taking Gary all day. Middleton is solid for the Milwaukee Bucks, but I would still give a slight edge to Harris in terms of defensive efficiency and all around consistency.
Saying Tatum is already better than Harris is like saying Jaylen Brown of the Jacksonville Jaguars is already better than Chris Harris Jr. of the Denver Broncos after one decent year. It is nonsense and there needs to consistent play over a longer period of time before we go that far. For the record, I am a huge Jayson Tatum fan, but his rating is way too high.
Jaylen Brown’s rating is somewhat fair, but he is a role player on that Celtics’ team and should not be rated higher than Gary Harris who is considered one of the go to options for the Nuggets.
DeAndre Jordan is very one dimensional on the offensive end of the floor and cannot hit a free throw to save his life (career 44.6% free throw shooter). He has started to decline in recent years as well.
Booker is becoming a legitimate scoring option in this league. He is the only one who may have a case for being better than Harris as he is the lone bright spot on a rebuilding Suns team and has proven to be a capable leader so far. However, 87 may be a bit high for him as well.
Harris has been dissed by Ronnie 2K and it should be a federal crime to put some of these names higher than Gary Harris who has became one of the best two way shooting guards in today’s NBA.
