Losing his uniqueness

Jokic’s skill-set is beautiful to watch…yet simultaneously, his game is weird. Jokic would finish mid-pack in a nursing home vertical jump contest. At the same time, the dude is easily the best-passing center in the NBA.

His shooting touch also nears tops among big men. When Jokic plays facilitating center, Denver’s offense is one of the league’s greatest. Who knew a post man could be your far-and-away best play-maker?

In his fourth NBA season, Jokic must stick to the game plan that elevated him to this point. His incredible passing skills and distributor’s mentality has lifted Denver to great heights offensively. His inside-outside scoring repertoire is an excellent complement to his assist game. Nikola will never be DeMarcus Cousins or Blake Griffin.

To attempt such a mold would be disastrous. Jokic has overcome odds to reach NBA stardom by capitalizing off his unique strengths. Continuing this is how he will remain there.
