Missing the playoffs again

Mile High anticipates this season with great excitement.

Denver Nuggets

Denver’s offense proved itself playoff-worthy last year.

The young core is maturing nicely into the early stages of excellence. With this anticipation comes another factor…restlessness.

Nuggets fans have been relatively patient with Denver’s development. Even missing the playoffs by one game for two consecutive seasons was taken fairly well in stride. Now it’s high time to reward loyalty.

Bottom line: if Denver misses the playoffs again, many supporters will question their allegiance. Fans will choose another team, under advice from doctors concerned with their blood pressure.

Although the core will likely remain intact, the coaching staff sure won’t. And Jokic’s ability to lead will be under extreme fire…with four years remaining on his contract.

All signs indicate Nikola likes Denver and Coach Malone.

Making the playoffs would guarantee the continuance of this bunch.
