8) Sky’s the limit

As mentioned above, it is relatively easy to predict a playoff berth for the Denver Nuggets. (Mr Magoo could probably see that one coming). What is far more challenging to predict is just how high this Nuggets team is capable of going.

Whilst it may sound cliché, the truth is, the sky is the limit. After all, who would have ever predicted that the Cleveland Cavaliers would ever beat the 73 and 9 Golden State Warriors? Basically no one right, and rightfully so.

The point here is that nothing is guaranteed and the unexpected can always happen. Much like in boxing, any fighter at least has a puncher’s chance.

Nevertheless, as it stands, the most sensible estimate of a ceiling for the Nuggets currently is likely the Western Conference Finals. Simply because the Nuggets are yet to prove they can compete with the Warriors on both sides of the floor. Assuming my prediction of the 2019 seedings for the Western Conference is correct, it’s possible the Nuggets could raise their level of play to where they could beat 2-seeded Lakers team.

Likewise, a Denver team playing to its full potential could beat a 3 seeded Jazz team or 6th seeded Rockets team. After all, Denver may well have more weapons than the Jazz and currently the Rockets seem to have lost ground since free agency.

Either way you look at it, the Denver Nuggets have a lot to play for, making them an exciting and intriguing option for any NBA fan.
