He was somewhat underwhelming Sunday, totaling 14 points, four boards and three assists. Nikola shot just 3-of-8 from the field, and accumulated a whopping six turnovers.
He was straight cash from the charity stripe, however… knocking down 8-of-8 free throws (NBA).
Jokic’s field-goal percentage (37.5) and turnovers were unimpressive. His scoring volume was low, but he chalked just 21 minutes (NBA).
Nikola succeeded in drawing fouls and capitalizing from the line. This element is important for 2018-19, as opponents will smoother him mercilessly.
Overall, his performance was neither great nor terrible.
The volume is forgivable due to low minutes.
Grade: B-
