The Denver Nuggets will take on the Chicago Bulls for their fifth preseason game.

The Denver Nuggets are coming off a loss where they were defeated at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers. For this game, do not expect to see much of the starters in this match up as the regular season is coming up very quickly.

The Chicago Bulls are in full rebuild mode and have nice pieces to build around going forward as they transition from the Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler days and enter a new era of their franchise.

Watch for guys like newly added Jabari Parker with the Bulls to make an impact in this game and showcase his potential.

For the Denver Nuggets, guys like Malik Beasley and Trey Lyles will be players to watch as they are coming off solid games against the Los Angeles Clippers despite the loss.

Remember, Trey Lyles posted a stat line of 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in this game. Funny thing is, LeBron James posted the same stat line a couple nights later and everyone is losing their minds, yet no word about Lyles’ performance, but I digress.

Malik Beasley has looked hungry this preseason and has made a name for himself as a key staple coming off the bench with the second unit. Head coach, Michael Malone, will play his cards very conservatively again as he will not want to show an ace up his sleeve before the regular season even begins. However, the Nuggets are going to be on the road again and this a trademark game the Nuggets have been known to lose.

Remember, one of their downfalls last season was losing to teams with worse records and it was a key reason it cost them a post season spot. Denver’s second unit has been stellar this year. It will be up to them to put up efficient numbers and play a clean game with limited turnovers.

If the turnovers start to pile up, the Nuggets may as well kiss a preseason win on the road goodbye because this young Bulls team is very young and willing to prove everyone wrong about them. All in all, the Nuggets should be able to prevail over the Bulls even if their starters don’t play meaningful minutes or only play one quarter like last game.
