Denver Nuggets at Bulls: Grades
By Mathew Huff
Jamal Murray-A
Jamal Murray really stepped up this game.
Denver Nuggets
He put on a show on the offensive end of the floor as he came away with 17 points to go along with a 42.9% three point percentage.
He also got three rebounds and two assists. Murray also recorded a box plus/minus of +13. Where he really surprised people though, was the defensive end of the floor.
Murray put on his best “Klay Thompson,” impersonation as a perimeter defender as he grabbed five monster steals. He also helped hold the opposing back court of the Chicago Bulls to a combined 14 points between Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine.
Murray, like the rest of the core trio, had struggled the last two games, so it was great to see him have a bounce back game.
A great confidence builder to go into the regular season as the team gets prepared for the Los Angeles Clippers.
