After a stinging loss the Los Angeles Lakers, the Denver Nuggets need to bounce back against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Denver Nuggets are coming off a heart wrenching defeat. However, the New Orleans Pelicans are no longer undefeated either.
Of course, what everyone will be watching in this particular game is the match up between the two star big men, Nikola Jokic and Anthony Davis.
If the season were to end right now, both players would be in the MVP discussion.

Jokic is averaging 23.4 points per game on 59.1% shooting to go along with 10.6 rebounds per game and 6.2 assists per game. Davis is averaging 27.3 points per game on 52.1% shooting to go along with 13.3 rebounds per game and 4.8 assists per game.
These are not the only two who will be ready to put on a show though. Both teams consist of great young talent.
Gary Harris and Jamal Murray will be ready to showcase their talents as Jrue Holiday and Nikola Mirotic are wanting to show the NBA world how under appreciated they are in the NBA landscape.
It will be interesting to see which of these surprise Western Conference teams can get the upper hand in the season series. Whoever does could dictate the way the Western Conference shakes out the rest of the way, or at least have a major role in it.
Many thought that the loss of DeMarcus Cousins would hurt the Pelicans this season. So far, that is the furthest thing from the truth as Davis looks ready to surpass LeBron James and Kevin Durant as the best player in the world eventually.
The Nuggets are on a mission looking to make the post season for the first time since the George Karl era. Especially after they have missed the playoffs by one game the last two seasons. As a result, both of these teams will be coming out with a chip on their shoulder and will make for fun and entertaining game.
It will be a challenge for the Nuggets’ front court of Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic to slow down “The Brow,” Anthony Davis.
However, this is the NBA and as their saying goes, “this is where amazing happens.”
