Denver Nuggets: W2W4 vs. Bucks
By Mathew Huff
The Denver Nuggets will have their hands full as they battle the Milwaukee Bucks in the Mile High.
With that being said, the Denver Nuggets will be a tough out for the Milwaukee Bucks as well. Both squads are coming off of heart breaking losses.
The Nuggets lost their last game as Caris LeVert hit a game winning floater with 0.3 seconds left which resulted in a 112-110 win for the Brooklyn Nets.
The Milwaukee Bucks layed an egg just days after defeating the defending champion Golden State Warriors by losing to the Los Angeles Clippers. They too lost on a game winning shot at the basket as Lou Williams drove in for the win and capitalized by hitting it off the glass giving the Clippers a win by a final score of 128-126.

As a result, both of these teams (who happen to have the same win loss record of 9-3) will be very hungry to respond which should result in a tough fought battle to the end of the final buzzer. How well each team plays while maintaining a nice dose of aggressiveness to balance with discipline is the fist thing to keep an eye on in this particular game.
However, the second and perhaps most important aspect to watch is how well Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets’ cornerstone, plays. Jokic has a history of having his best performances against the Milwaukee Bucks. Last year when these two teams played, he recorded the fastest triple double in NBA history.
Not to mention, he has recorded a triple doubles in 2 of the last 3 games vs. the Bucks (13 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists on March 1, 2017 and 30 points, 17 assists and 15 rebounds on February 15, 2018. )Even in the last match up with the Bucks, Jokic still put on a show tallying an outstanding 35 points on 58.3% shooting from the field to go along with 13 rebounds.
With this in mind, it will be interesting to see what kind of defensive scheme the Bucks devise to slow down and contain the Joker. One could even argue he will be the X factor for the Denver Nuggets in this game as he is coming off his first career 30+ point and 20+rebound game in the loss to the Nets.
Will he slow down this game, or will he ride this momentum into this pivotal game? We will soon find out if he can help get the team back into the win column and end this 2 game losing streak.
