The Denver Nuggets will look to win their third straight game.
The Denver Nuggets hit the road and look to defeat the division rival, Oklahoma City Thunder. With this in mind, which player on the Nugget needs to truly have a standout game?
None other than the franchise cornerstone, Nikola Jokic. Do not get me wrong, Jokic has certainly not been playing bad as of late.
He has recorded a double double in the last two games in terms of assists and rebounds. However, he has not been shooting very effectively and has failed to crack double figures in these two games as well.

Going up against a bruiser like Steven Adams, Jokic has to start scoring at a more efficient clip. In the past two games, Nikola is averaging only 25% from the field along with only 6.5 points per game.
The good news is, he is also averaging an outstanding 10.5 assists per game in the last two match ups which is extremely rare to see from a big man, let alone a center. What is even more impressive is that the Joker is averaging 7.3 assists per game this season which is on par with some elite point guards as well in this department.
Point guards such as Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard. All three of these elite point guards are averaging less assists than the Joker which is simply insane to think about in terms of passing. With all of this in mind, the Denver Nuggets need to have their best player step up and find a way to have an all around efficient game.
We know he will rack up the rebounds and assists, but if he can crack double figures in scoring, not only could he get a triple double, then Denver’s chances of victory will increase ten fold.
