The Denver Nuggets lead the Lakers by eight at the half.
The Denver Nuggets have done a good job controlling the tempo so far. While the Lakers have gotten some key points in the paint, Denver has forced the Lakers to take jump shots which they have struggled with so far.
The Lakers are only shooting 46.7% from the field compared to Denver’s 51% field goal percentage.
Headband Paul Millsap has emerged in terrific form so far as he currently has a stat line consisting of 16 points on 63.7% shooting from the field to go along with seven rebounds and a steal and a block coupled with a player differential of +3.

Jamal Murray has been electric on the offensive side of the floor as he possesses a stat line of 15 points on 50% shooting to go along with one three point shot made so far.
For the Joker, Nikola Jokic, he is still finding ways to be productive and facilitate the offense despite having an off night from the field shooting. He is only shooting two for six from the field, but has a healthy dose of assists and rebounds to keep his team ahead of the ever improving Lakers.
The Nuggets must come out aggressive in the second half if they want to keep up this great play. They cannot let what happened in the fourth quarter in the first match up. Especially when you take into account the Nuggets are currently in third place in the very competitive Western Conference.
Each game is going to have post season implications from here on out and this game is no different.
It will be interesting to see how the Lakers will answer the bell in the second half and if the Denver Nuggets can make the necessary adjustments to translate into a fourth straight win.
