Will Barton of the Denver Nuggets is close to returning to action.
The Denver Nuggets are close to getting their starting wing, Will Barton, back in action.
According to clutchpoints’ Asish Mathur, Barton is only a couple of weeks away from coming back to the Denver Nuggets’ lineup.
It is great to see the Denver Nuggets doing so well without Barton so far as they are currently sitting at third place in the Western Conference, however, they need to electric scorer back soon.

He is a scorer who can get hot in a second and bolster the Nuggets’ offense which has taken a bit of a step back from last season. So far, Denver is ranked 11th in terms of offensive efficiency compared to last year where they were ranked fifth in this same category.
With the addition of Will Barton, this should improve as he was averaging a career high 16.5 points per game to go along with an effective field goal percentage of 69%. Not to mention, he was also averaging a three point shooting percentage of 55.6% which is by far a career best so far.
His advanced analytics are no slouch either. Barton currently possesses an offensive rating of 132 along with a defensive rating of 104 which is a career low. Barton is also averaging a box plus/minus of +4 along with a true shooting percentage of 72.5%. Some great numbers to say the least.
Also, as nuts as Barton can drive a fan sometimes, he can hit clutch shots. Case in point, the game winning lay up against the Chicago Bulls last season. You can watch it here.
The Nuggets have already solidified themselves as an improved defensive unit this year with them being ranked third in defensive rating at 103.2.
With Barton being back in the linuep, hopefully the Nuggets’ offense will get some of it’s firepower back.
