Denver Nuggets outlast Magic.

Denver Nuggets, that’s the name of the number one team in the West and practically the NBA. The Denver Nuggets now sit 17 and 7. However, as LeBron James‘ legacy advises, it’s what happens in the playoffs (and ultimately the NBA finals) that really counts.

The Nuggets have what it takes to win an NBA championship. Nevertheless, to realize their championship potential.

More from Nugg Love

The Nuggets will need to pay attention to detail. Recognizing their weaknesses even in victory. So that they can turn them into strengths and shine come playoff time.

In the playoffs is we’re the NBA’s best players shine the brightest. Below we discuss 3 Denver Nuggets (and 1 of those 3) that shone the brightest last night.

Paul Millsap

Millsap had another great all round game. Hitting shots all over the court from mid range to 3 and down low too. What’s more, Millsap kept up the good work in overtime to help ensure the Denver Nuggets came away with a much-needed win.

In true Millsap fashion, Millsap was even playing super-tight defense against Aaron Gordon to ensure that one over time would be enough for the Nuggets to leave Florida with a win.

In 33 minutes, Paul had 18 points on 60% shooting from the field and 2 of 2 shooting from 3 as well as 8 rebounds.

The Joker

In addition to Millsap, the Denver Nuggets had Nikola ‘The Joker’ Jokic finding his teammates within the flow of the offense and his teammates flow too.

It must be said, Denver’s offense is flowing like a well-oiled engine and Nikola and the Denver Nuggets look like they are making epic music out there on the basketball court.

Last night, Nikola had 13 assists, 8 rebounds and 12 points. Moreover, like Millsap, Jokic rose to the occasion and was huge in overtime. The Nuggets definitely struck gold when they got Jokic.

Jamal Murray

Nuggets fans, how much fun is Jamal Murray?!! With Gary Harris being out, Jamal Murray is definitely helping the Nuggets take up the slack.

In the past we’ve noted that Murray has struggled with his turnovers.

We also have predicted improvement as the season continued. Last night, Jamal proved the validity of our prediction.

Putting up 8 assists and just 1 turnover in a team-leading 46 minutes of play. Whilst there were barely any turnovers, there was a whole lot of the ‘Blue Arrow’ taking aim and firing from everywhere.

Jamal Murray scored 31 points, had 1 steal, 4 rebounds, went 2 of 3 from 3 and 10 of 25 from the field.
