The Young Two Way Talent

Gary Harris is without a doubt, the team’s most important player when it comes to defense on the perimeter.

On the season, he is currently averaging 1.2 steals per game to go along with a career high block percentage of 1.2%. Not only that, he is one of the most reliable offensive options for the Nuggets.

He is arguably their second best player and is averaging 16.6 points per game so far along with a clutch moment in Portland when he hit a go ahead three point shot with 16 seconds left to give the Nuggets a one point lead, which eventually led to a win.

Most Denver fans know by now that Harris’ role is to be the defensive ace on the perimeter and a safety blanket for Nikola Jokic to pass to with his offensive prowess. In other words, he is Denver’s up and coming two way talent, their version of Paul George in a way.

With him being out 3-4 weeks to rehab his hip, back up shooting guard, Malik Beasley, is going to have some big shoes to fill in the coming days.
