After a hectic end to the game, the Denver Nuggets came out victorious against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Well, wasn’t that fun Denver Nuggets fans. Not only did we learn that Russell Westbrook has a massive ego that needs to get checked, we also found out that this team is for real even without half of their roster.
The Denver Nuggets prevailed by a final score of 109-98. An impressive feat considering the Thunder came into this game as the first ranked defense in the entire league and for the second game in a row, Denver held their opponent under 100 points.

This flexed their third ranked defense in the league which is a welcome sign for Nuggets fans after the last couple of seasons. So, with all of this in mind, who was the player of the game? This would be the best player on the team of course, Nikola Jokic.
Nikola was one assist shy of a triple double and finished with a stat line of 24 points, nine assists and an outstanding 15 rebounds.
Not to mention, he also shot 50% from the field and also 50% from three point territory as well. While Steven Adams, his matchup on the night, had a great game tallying 26 points on 60% shooting, Jokic was still able to make some highlights on the defensive end.
Jokic tallied three steals and finished the game with a player differential of +10. Plus, as you saw in the video above, he is willing to go to war for his teammates as he confronted Westbrook after his childish shove of Jamal Murray.
This is great to see as this is the equivalent of a lineman protecting his quarterback after a dirty hit in football.
Nikola Jokic is a triple double threat night in and night out and he showcased this against the Nuggets’ division rival Oklahoma City Thunder.
