For the Nuggets, some notable performers include Juan Hernangomez with 15 points, five rebounds while shooting 57.1% from the field. Nikola Jokic with three points, four rebounds and seven assists and Torrey Craig with eight points, four rebounds and an assist.
In order for the Denver Nuggets to get back into the win column, they will have to come out much more aggressive in the second half. Gregg Popovich is definitely going to make adjustments, so the game plan that Michael Malone has in store for the second half will be crucial.
Not to mention, the Nuggets need to keep up the aggression on the defensive end of the floor as they have nine steals compared to the Spurs’ measly two steals at the half.
What is hurting the Nuggets though is their effort on the defensive boards as alluded to earlier and their 37.5% shooting from the field as a team. The Spurs are shooting a stellar 53.5% from the field.
The good news is the Denver Nuggets are only down by two points (55-53) and just need to make a couple of tweaks in order to come away with a win on the road.
Hopefully, we will not have a repeat of the Los Angeles Clippers game the other night.
