Nikola Jokic’s updated resume
By Mathew Huff
After winning player of the week, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, has added to his basketball resume.
The Denver Nuggets’ big man, Nikola Jokic, is on pace to be a first time All Star this season.
The Serbian center is averaging a total of 19.2 points per game, an effective field goal percentage of 54.2%, 10.1 rebounds per game, 7.5 assists per game, an offensive rating of 118, a defensive rating of 105 (which happens to be the same defensive rating as his low post counterpart, Paul Millsap, a former All Defensive selection, right now) and is also averaging a player differential of +9.4.
Not only that, the Joker is also averaging a true shooting percentage of 59% to go along with a defensive box plus/minus of +3.6. His offensive box plus/minus currently sits at +5.8.

Now that we have painted a picture of how effective Jokic has been this year, let’s go ahead and take a look at his updated basketball resume.
Many seem to forget that the Joker holds the record for the fastest triple double in NBA history which he recorded last season in a win over the Milwaukee Bucks. Jokic also became the third center in NBA history to record 20 or more triple doubles in his career with the other two being Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
This is the type of company us Nuggets fans want to see our star player in when it comes to NBA royalty. Not to mention, he achieved a triple double earlier this year by hitting all of his shots from the field in a win against the Suns. Something that had not been done since Wilt Chamberlain.
Another feat that Jokic has achieved in his rookie season was that he was named to the 2015-16 All rookie team as well.
He has also added to his resume recently as he just won the player of the week award along with his Eastern Conference peer, Joel Embiid, who won it for the Eastern Conference. What is scary for the rest of the league is that Jokic is just going to continue to add to his NBA resume.
Here is to many more accomplishments for Nikola Jokic which will most likely include an All Star selection soon.
