Will Barton could return for the Denver Nuggets against the Phoenix Suns.

The Denver Nuggets have been without their starting wing in Will Barton for basically all season.

Barton has only played a couple games this season as he suffered an injury in the Nuggets’ first matchup with the Phoenix Suns earlier in the season.

Now, Will Barton could be back against the Phoenix Suns tonight in an ironic twist of fate. Barton has been upgraded from out to questionable for tonight’s game along with Gary Harris who has been battling a hamstring injury which has been nagging the starting two guard all season long.

Will Barton would be a welcome addition to Denver’s already potent offense and tonight could mark the first time the team has every starter in the lineup since the very start of the regular season.

Despite the very small sample size, Barton has averaged some nice numbers this year. He is averaging a career high 16.5 points per game to go along with an effective field goal percentage of a sky high 69%.

Will is also averaging a career high offensive rating of 132 coupled with a true shooting percentage of 72.5%, which is also a career high for Will the “Thrill.”

Barton has also done his part on the defensive end in the couple games he has played this year as well. Barton currently has a block average of one per game to go along with a block percentage of 3.3%.

His defensive rebounding percentage currently stands at 20.2% which is a welcome sign as the Nuggets are one of the top rebounding teams in the league being tied for fourth in the league at 47.3 rebounds per game.

With all of this in mind, it will be a nice sign to see Will Barton back with the Nuggets if he comes back tonight, even if he does end up coming off the bench to ease back into action.
