Denver Nuggets snatch Chicago’s soul
By Mathew Huff
The Denver Nuggets bounced back in a resounding way over the Bulls.
After getting demolished by the Golden State Warriors, the Denver Nuggets were demoted to the number two seed in the Western Conference standings.
However, the Nuggets are still one of the top teams in the league for a reason.
They showed that as they completely destroyed the young Chicago Bulls besting them 135 to 105.

While the Bulls are in a rebuild process and are extremely young, basically the Nuggets from three years ago, they are still an NBA team and as the saying goes, “any given night.”
However, on this night, it was the Denver Nuggets who could not miss. The team shot 52.1% from the field compared to the Chicago Bulls’ 47.3% shooting in this matchup.
From three, the Nuggets made their own run at the three point shooting team record as they hit 20 threes out of 40 three point attempts (50%), whereas the Bulls hit only 35.7% of their three point shots.
Some notable performers on the night were of course, Nikola Jokic who nearly had a triple double with 18 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds.
Gary Harris had a decent night coming off the bench coming off a hamstring injury recording 14 points on 54.5% shooting from the field. Jamal Murray only had a few points in the first half, but responded in a huge way in the second half as he finished with 25 points and five assists.
Paul Millsap finished with 14 points on an outstanding 83.3% shooting to go along with eight rebounds and a player differential of +27.
The Chicago Bull of the night was most definitely Laurie Markkanen who finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
Denver certainly responded in the way you need to after getting owned on your home court. And that, they did as they took the soul of the young Chicago Bulls.
Hopefully, this game will serve as a springboard going forward for this hungry Denver Nuggets squad.
