Denver Nuggets: Ranking Denver’s playoff opponents
By Chris Bolin
The Playoff Race
The Nuggets are 13-10 against Western Conference playoff teams. But it hasn’t been exactly been even across the board.
The Nuggets swept the Thunder — which surprises me, even as a big Nuggets believer — but lost three of four to the Rockets.
Here’s how the Nuggets have fared against the Western Conference.

Golden State — 1-2 (One game left)
Houston Rockets — 1-3
Portland Trail Blazers — 2-0 (Two games left)
Utah Jazz — 1-2 (One game left)
Oklahoma City Thunder — 4-0
San Antonio Spurs — 1-2 (One game left)
Los Angeles Clippers — 3-1
Coming into the season, a couple of those records would have been a little surprising — namely Oklahoma City.
I don’t know if anybody expected Denver to sweep the Thunder — I, for one, did not. And I’m still weary about a potential matchup with the Oklahoma City in the first round.
But honestly, most are about what you would have expected — even if you had slotted Denver around the fifth seed.
How the last stretch of the season plays out will have a pretty big impact — on both seeding and how the Nuggets fair against their potential opponents.
And though the Nuggets have fared the best agains the Thunder this season, I don’t know if that’s who they necessarily want to play.
Then, who’s that?
