The Denver Nuggets experienced early shooting, defense and rotational issues…each of which improved with the insertion of JaMychal Green.

When the Denver Nuggets signed JaMychal Green this offseason, his acquisition was largely met with shrugs, as many fans were disgruntled at the surprising loss of Jerami Grant.

Nonetheless, Green has proven himself a strong fit in Denver and his on-court prowess has shown he was never a consolation prize.

Green chose the Nuggets after they upset his previous team (the Los Angeles Clippers) in the playoffs, an ultimate compliment in today’s NBA. Now it’s Denver’s turn to be impressed with Green, as his contributions have turned the tide for the Mile High squad after an uninspiring start.

With Green injured, Denver kicked off the season with a horrid 1-3 record, facing a concerning lack of production from complementary players.

The squad has gone 4-2 since Green’s return (including a tight, overtime loss to the Dallas Mavericks) and appears to have somewhat recovered from their worst start in the Malone Era.

Let’s examine Green’s play for the Nuggets, as he’s rescued the team in several regards.
