Denver Nuggets five-man lineups: Jokic-Gordon-Porter Jr.-Barton-Morris

This lineup is likely going to be the starting five and play the most out of any lineup. It also just so happens to be the best lineup the Nuggets can roll out.

While there isn’t much to say in terms of introducing new pieces and combinations, it’ll be interesting to see how the wings, Michael Porter Jr. and Will Barton can excel next season as the primary scorers.

Yes, Nikola Jokic is going to get all he wants, but putting pass-first options at the lead guard and center spot should give plenty more looks to the talented wings.

Barton has re-committed to the Nuggets and you can assume that it was partially due to opportunity. He’ll likely slide right into the starting position while Murray recovers and will absorb some of his shots.

MPJ finished the season hotter than we’ve ever seen a player do so. He averaged 22.8 points a night while hitting 55 percent from the floor, 45 percent from 3-point range, and 86 percent from the free throw line after Murray went down. He took the reigns as the second option behind Jokic and excelled.

If he can keep his post-Jamal hot streak alive for next season, there’s reason to believe he could be a 20-plus point per game scorer.
