The 2022 NBA Draft is just hours away, which means that teams from around the association are finalizing their decisions on who could be the next face of the franchise. As for the Denver Nuggets, they are one of the few teams with two first-round selections this year, albeit both towards the tail end of round one.

With picks No. 21 and No. 30, there’s a good chance that (at least) one of them will be traded away to either move up, and secure one of the more elite prospects in the draft. Or packaged with one of their current players to shake up the association in a blockbuster trade.

However, assuming that the Nuggets decide to hold on to the 30th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, which the team acquired as part of the recent JaMychal Green trade. There are a few names that Denver should avoid entirely if they hope to continue their upwards trend as one of the more exciting teams in the Western Conference.

Even though this year’s draft has an incredibly deep pool of talent and the Nuggets’ front office has quite the reputation for hitting on late round draft picks. I.e., Monte Morris (51), Malik Beasley (19), Nikola Jokic (41) etc. That doesn’t mean that every player’s going to be home run hit.

Here are three players the Denver Nuggets should avoid with pick No. 30.
