The Denver Nuggets are favored at home on Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans, and they should build on their already impressive 22-4 record at home.
If you’re looking to bet on the Nuggets, you can take more than just them to win the game and explore the prop market as well.
Here are three plays I’m considering for Tuesday’s showdown:
Pelicans vs. Nuggets best NBA prop bets
- Denver Nuggets 1Q -2 vs. New Orleans Pelicans
- Herb Jones OVER 3.5 Rebounds
- Aaron Gordon OVER 0.5 3-Pointers Made
Denver Nuggets 1Q -2 vs. New Orleans Pelicans
The Denver Nuggets have the best net rating in the NBA in the first quarter this season, and they have a favorable matchup with a Pelicans offense that ranks dead last in the league over its last 10 games.
Denver is known for getting off to fast starts at home, so I don’t mind laying the two points here in a game I expect Denver to control all the way through.
Herb Jones OVER 3.5 Rebounds
The market has yet to adjust for Herb Jones on the glass, as he’s cleared 3.5 boards in all but one game since returning from injury.
The one game he missed? Well, he played just 19 minutes.
Jones has 24 rebounds over his last five games, playing over 25 minutes in four of those matchups. The Pels are going to need to crash the glass against Nikola Jokic, so I think Jones can find 4-5 rebounds in this one.
Aaron Gordon OVER 0.5 3-Pointers Made
Aaron Gordon doesn’t take a ton of 3-pointers, but he’s been efficient this season for the Nuggets, shooting 38.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Gordon has made at least one shot from deep in seven of his last 10 games, and he’s attempted 2.3 shots from 3 per game since Dec. 30.
The Nuggets are No. 2 in offense at home this season, so they should be able to generate some easier looks for Gordon against New Orleans. I’ll back him to find the range from 3 on Tuesday.
