The Denver Nuggets continue to hold the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference after a monster game from Nikola Jokic on Saturday night led them to a win over the Charlotte Hornets.

Denver is back in action on Monday night against the Miami Heat. It’s another road game for the Nuggets, but they may have a little injury luck in this game.

The Heat are down Kyle Lowry and Victor Oladipo due to injury, and they’ve listed reigning Sixth Man of the Year Tyler Herro as questionable. Denver has Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray listed as questionable on its injury report.

The Nuggets have struggled on defense on the road this season, but it’s surprising to see them as a pick’em in this spot.

Here is my favorite bet for this matchup:

Miami may have the best defender to somewhat slow down Jokic in Bam Adebayo, but that’s not going to stop me from trusting Denver to win this game.

The Heat are the worst team in the NBA against the spread at home, going just 8-18-2 ATS on the season.

With both teams potentially down key players, I think Denver’s depth is much better than Miami’s especially if Herro misses this game.

The Heat are 26th in the league in offensive rating this season while Denver clocks in at No. 2.

The Nuggets’ Achilles heel on the road has been their defense, but Miami plays at a slow pace and hasn’t been very efficient on the offensive end. That should keep Denver in the game, and I think the Nuggets come away with a second straight road win.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
