Despite some Nikola Jokic foul trouble in Game 4 the Denver Nuggets took a 108-95 win in Miami and are back home with a chance to close out the series in five games. Perhaps because of that foul-trouble we came one Jokic rebound short of hitting out same-game parlay for Game 4 that would have paid out +665 odds.

Now in Game 5 it could be our last time to bet on the NBA this season and just like any person who’s ever shot a basketball, we’ve got to end on a make. Here are my four picks for a Heat vs. Nuggets SGP.

Best Heat vs. Nuggets same-game parlay picks

  • Nuggets moneyline
  • Michael Porter Jr. under 11.5 points
  • Bruce Brown. 1+ made threes
  • Nikola Jokic over 29.5 points

This same-game parlay pays out +422 odds in the FanDuel Sportsbook. That means a $100 bet would pay out $422 if it cashes.

Nuggets moneyline

I think it’s pretty clear that the Heat have no answer for the Nuggets. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo nearly played every minute of Game 4, 45 and 44 respectively, and Miami still lost by 13.

Jokic only played 37 because of foul trouble and Michael Porter Jr. has been terrible all series and none of it matters. The Nuggets have turned to Aaron Gordon to take over the game for stretches, including Game 4, and he finished with 27 points, seven boards, and six assists. Meanwhile Bruce Brown scored 21 points in 30 minutes off the bench.

Denver is too big and too talented and this series is finished.

Michael Porter Jr. under 11.5 points

It’s incredible that the Nuggets are about to win their first ever NBA Finals and the team is about to do it without its third best player being a factor at all in the series. MPJ has been borderline benched, only playing just over 20 minutes in each of the last two games and he’s averaging eight points a game in the Finals. He’s one of the best shooters in the NBA and in the Finals he is shooting 13.8% from three.

Bruce Brown 1+ made threes

With MPJ losing minutes, somebody else has to step up and that’s been Bruce Brown. Last game he played those 30 minutes and scored 21 points while hitting 3-5 from three. He’s shooting 50% from three in the Finals and has made at least one in all four games.

Nikola Jokic over 29.5 points

The Joker is going to have a big game in the series clincher. That feels like an inevitability after the historically great playoff run that he has had. Last game he only had 23 points in 37 minutes, but he’s going to play at least 40 minutes in Game 5 and easily have 30. Just to recap, the best player in the world is averaging 30.1 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 9.8 assists in the postseason and his team is one win away from immortality.
