I am a 22-year-old Old Dominion University alumnus with a B.A. in English with a concentration in journalism. Currently I work at The Virginian-Pilot newspaper in Norfolk, Va.. As a student-journalist I was involved with both the student radio and newspaper publications on campus. At the Mace & Crown student paper where I was the copy editor. I was also heavily involved in the sports beat, covering mainly basketball, baseball and football related topics. For the student-run online campus radio station WODU I co-hosted a weekly radio show titled Barbershop Talk, in which I give my opinions on sports and pop culture topics. Also, with WODU I broadcasted live basketball and football games. I have recently delved into television broadcasting and nabbed a sports production internship with the local NBC and Fox affiliates in the Hampton Roads area at WAVY-TV and Fox 43 during my last semester of undergrad. I aim to utilize my love and passion of sports, and my affinity for writing to carve out a journalistic career.
