Our Denver Nuggets are back in the postseason, and fans across Colorado, Serbia and the rest of Nuggets Nation are eagerly marking their calendars with the official Nuggets playoff schedule.

Nikola Jokic and co. are set to face the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round, marking the third consecutive year Denver will travel to Los Angeles during the playoffs. After eliminating the Lakers in both 2023 and 2024, the Nuggets now have their sights set on the other team that calls Tinseltown home.

Complete Nuggets Playoff Schedule: First-Round Dates and Broadcast Information

Fourth-seeded Denver will begin its playoff campaign at home at Ball Arena before the Nuggets' playoff schedule shifts to the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Here's the complete Nuggets playoff schedule for the first-round series against the Clippers:

  • Game 1: Los Angeles Clippers at Denver, 1:30 p.m. Saturday, ESPN
  • Game 2: Los Angeles Clippers at Denver, 8 p.m. Monday, TNT
  • Game 3: Denver at Los Angeles Clippers, TBD April 24, NBA TV
  • Game 4: Denver at Los Angeles Clippers, 4 p.m. April 26, TNT
  • Game 5: Los Angeles Clippers at Denver, TBD April 29, TBD (if necessary)
  • Game 6: Denver at Los Angeles Clippers, TBD May 1, TBD (if necessary)
  • Game 7: Los Angeles Clippers at Denver, TBD May 3, TBD (if necessary)

Seeing the best player on the planet’s series get the NBA TV treatment is a little surprising, but that says more about the league’s priorities than anything else, in my opinion.

With home-court advantage secured, the Nuggets will look to snag both games at altitude in the Mile High City before heading to California for Games 3 and 4. The trip to Los Angeles has become something of a springtime tradition. Denver parlayed postseason trips to Southern California into a victory parade in 2023 and a gentleman’s sweep of the loathsome Lakers last year.

In 2023, Nikola Jokic and the squad swept LeBron James and the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals on their way to the franchise’s first NBA championship. Last year’s NBA playoffs saw them return to eliminate the Lakers again, spurred by a pair of Jamal Murray game-winners.

Now, the Nuggets' playoff schedule brings yet another L.A. showdown, just with a different opponent in their crosshairs. Recent history between the Nuggets and Clippers provides additional intrigue. Most notably, the 2020 bubble saw Denver overcome a 3-1 series deficit to stun the heavily favored Clippers in the second round. The teams split their four regular-season matchups this year, but none have come since early January.

Nuggets Playoff Uniform Schedule: What They’ll Wear Each Game

As part of the 2025 Nuggets' playoff schedule, the team has announced its jersey rotation for the first-round matchup against the Clippers. Per the team’s X update below, the Nuggets will wear their “Mile High City” Statement jerseys for Games 1 and 7 at home. Game 2 will feature the Nuggets in the midnight blue Icon outfit. When the Nuggets’ playoff schedule shifts to Los Angeles, they’ll switch to their Association Edition white uniforms for Games 3, 4 and 6 (if necessary). If the series extends, they’ll bust out the City Edition unis for Game 5.

While fans following the Nuggets playoff run will be more focused on the action on the court than the attire, I know some die-hard supporters enjoy “matching” with the team throughout the series.

What to Expect as the Nuggets Playoff Schedule Unfolds

As the Nuggets’ playoff schedule begins against the red-hot Clippers, expect the Nuggets to rely on an established playoff formula: Jokic’s brilliance as the offensive hub, Murray’s scoring in the clutch and a supporting cast that knows — and executes — their roles.

The Clippers’ isolation-heavy offense will test Denver’s defense, but the Nuggets also have solid matchups for James Harden and Kawhi Leonard on that end in Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon, respectively. Plus, the lack of a speedy guard to pressure the paint and the fact that the Clippers almost exclusively play lineups with two nonshooters bode well for Denver’s defense.

The series will also see Russell Westbrook get a shot at revenge against his longtime friend and ex-teammate Harden and former team — in front of his friends and family at home in la-la land. He could be the X-factor in this first-round matchup.

Is Murray completely healthy? Can David Adelman outscheme Ty Lue and Jeff Van Gundy in the coaching matchup? Is Kawhi actually back for good? Can Ivica Zubac contain the three-time MVP? Will AG keep up his perimeter shooting? First-round series don’t often feature this much intrigue.

I anticipate a lengthy series — one that potentially even goes the distance.

The Mile High City is ready. The fans are ready. As the Nuggets playoff run tips off this weekend, is the team ready to realize its championship aspirations once again?
