Game 6 of the Nuggets and Timberwolves second-round playoff series will take place on Thursday night at 6:30 PM MST on ESPN. Denver has a chance to win the series and close out the Wolves, securing a spot in the Western Conference Finals.

This would be a second straight appearance for the Nuggets as they attempt to defend their championship. The Wolves took games one and two in Denver, but the Nuggets have battled back and won three games in a row to push the Wolves to the brink of elimination.

Now the Wolves must battle to keep their season alive and force a do-or-die game 7 which would take place in Denver on Sunday. Considering the war of attrition that has defined these NBA playoffs, these two teams have been pretty healthy.

The Nuggets have dealt with an injury to Jamal Murray, but it hasn’t caused him to miss a game. The Wolves had been completely healthy for their whole playoff run until veteran point guard Mike Conley suffered an Achilles injury at the end of game 4 which caused him to miss game 5.

Without their floor general, Anthony Edwards was overwhelmed by Nuggets defenders and the Wolves offense was unable to get going. Conley’s status will be a massive story to watch ahead of Game 6 as his team desperately needs him on the court.

Timberwolves injury report

Just like in Game 5, Mike Conley is listed as questionable for Game 6 with an Achilles injury. He obviously missed the game on Tuesday night, but Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Conley is expected to suit up and return for this potential elimination game; a welcome sight for Wolves fans.

Nuggets injury report

Jamal Murray is listed as questionable with a calf strain yet again, but Murray hasn’t missed a game yet and appears to be getting healthier. I think it’s safe to assume he will be playing on Thursday night barring a setback.

Betting odds

The Wolves are currently favored by 2.5 points to win game 6 on their home court and keep their season alive for a potential do-or-die game 7. The total is currently listed at 205.5 points.
