The Denver Nuggets enter game two of their Western Conference Series semifinal with the Minnesota Timberwolves in dire need of a victory. The Wolves took game one in Ball Arena, and heading home with a sweep in Denver would be a near-death sentence for the Nuggets and their chances of repeating as champions.

The Nuggets didn’t face a ton of adversity on their run to a title last season, and they were never trailing at any point in a series. So this is uncharted territory in a sense for this version of the Nuggets team. They’re trailing and they’ve lost homecourt advantage; time to see how they respond.

What time does game 2 start?

The game will start at 10 PM EST (8 PM MST) on Monday night, May 6th. It will almost certainly tip off 5-15 minutes past the hour, and could possibly be delayed if the Eastern Conference Semifinal between the Knicks and Pacers runs late.

What TV channel will Game 2 be on?

The game will air on national TV on both TNT and TruTV. It will be the second leg of a doubleheader with the Knicks/Pacers game, so if that one runs past tip-off of Nuggets/Wolves, the game will start exclusively on TruTV.

What radio stations will Game 2 be on?

Local fans in the Denver area can listen to game 2 on Altitude Sports Radio 92.5 FM and fans elsewhere can listen to the national broadcast on Sirius XM and ESPN Radio.

Looking ahead

Another reason the Nuggets could really use a win in game two is that there’s an extremely long layoff before game three, which won’t take place until Friday, May 10th at 9:30 PM EST and 7:30 PM MST. Whichever team loses will have several days to stew on the loss. But it also means extra time to rest and lick wounds, and for Jamal Murray to get healthy.

Along with being the first game in Minnesota, game three will also be the first game of the series to be broadcast on ESPN.
