#4 — Kiki Vandeweghe

  • 2X All-Star

That video can perfectly show why Vandeweghe, outside of his stats, deserves to be on our list. He had a killer mid-range shot and was able to put points on the board in bunches.

Kiki Vandeweghe was a terrific player, but he sadly was only with the organization for a couple years. He was traded for another Denver great in Fat Lever, but his four years with the organization were some of the best.

He was teamed up with Alex English, who was one of the Nuggets best players of all time, which gave them one of the most dynamic offenses. Vandeweghe had arguable his best two seasons during his third and fourth year with the Denver Nuggets.

Vandeweghe, in his measly four years, did stamp his name in Nugget record books. In his last season with the Nuggets (the 83-84 season), Vandeweghe averaged 29.4 points per game which would only have been outdone by Stephen Curry this season. Kiki finished 2nd in Nuggets history in offensive rating with a 119.1 which was only behind Kosta Koufos, who hardly was with the Nuggets.

He is also in their record books for being sixth in PER at 20.1 and sixth in points per game at 23.3.

Vandeweghe was traded away, but he ultimately was one of the best Nuggets while he was in the Mile High City.
