As Nike takes over the uniforms for the NBA, the Denver Nuggets’ jerseys must see a return of the infamous skyline.

Okay, yes, anyone who knows me knows I am a huge fan of the rainbow skyline jerseys the Denver Nuggets wore back in the day. As a matter of fact, they are my favorite Colorado sports team jersey out of all the teams, (yes, even over the Broncos, Avalanche and Rockies shockingly.)

With this in mind, one thing I firmly believe must be included in the re brand when Nike gets around to it, is the skyline. The skyline design is one of the most iconic logos in Nuggets’ history. I know the actual throwbacks will not be brought back, but that does not mean Nike cannot find a way to integrate it into whatever design they have planned for Denver.

Look at the yellow alternate jerseys for the Nuggets the past few years. They had the skyline design on them. If they had it, then I think speak for many fans when I say all of the jerseys should have the infamous logo. Oh, just a side note, it sounds like they will be returning to the navy blue. Anyway, Denver is entering a brand new era of basketball with Jokic on the come up and Millsap returning to where he grew up.

With this new era, a change in look is not such a bad idea. However, bringing back a key throwback component like the skyline would make many fans happy and provide the team with a newfound sense of pride and also honor for the past legends that have played in Denver.

Next: Millsap officially signed

No matter what, the skyline will always have a place in Nuggets’ history and it is time for Nike to bring back it’s memory and incorporate it into the new jerseys coming out next season.
