Kenneth Faried has an uncertain future with the Denver Nuggets.

Many years ago, Kenneth Faried was considered a dark horse prospect out of Moorehead State University. Not exactly a college known for churning out NBA talent on a consistent basis like a Kentucky or Duke.

However, Faried was one of a kind. Many thought the Nuggets got a steal in him when they saw how well he played, particularly crashing the glass. To be honest, they were right. Faried was a steal and he has done Denver proud with his hustle.

However, the last couple of seasons have been a bit of roller coaster for the power forward. He lost his starting spot last season and has had trouble adding extra facets to his game. On top of this, he is seemingly in trade rumors and speculation, not every year, but more like every month.

Due to all of this, it makes one wonder a disturbing question. Has Kenneth Faried already hit his ceiling? It seems like just yesterday the Manimal was drafted and was showing signs of great potential. However, time has passed since then and is actually a veteran in the league now.

We are still waiting for the extra dimensions in his play style to evolve, but he is still an undersized power forward whose specialty is cleaning the glass. Faried still has not developed a consistent mid range jump shot, is streaky on free throws and unfortunately is just too undersized at his position to be effective defensively.

He does try very hard on the defensive end and it is evident when you watch him play, but sadly, Faried can only compensate for so much. I love the Manimal and the hustle he brought to the Mile High will always have a special place in my heart.

It is just a shame to see so much potential not develop properly due to team chemistry and the influx of a rebuild process.
