Denver Nuggets: Main priorities to have in mind
By Blake Holmes
Next up, Gary Harris also needs a contract extension.
I am not afraid to say it, but Gary Harris just might be a top ten shooting guard in the NBA right now. While there can be an argument for both sides, Harris had a break-out season last year. After battling injuries all season long, he averaged almost 15 points per game, and shot 50 percent from the field (per basketball-reference).

Harris also continue to be one of the better defenders on the team. He has had this reputation ever since he was drafted to the team over three years ago. Harris is maturing as a guard, and with the addition of weapons for the Nuggets, he should only get better.
He’s a very good three-point shooter, as he finished tenth in the league in three-point percentage. He shot an insane 42 percent from beyond the arc.
If he can avoid injuries, who knows what his ceiling may be? Could he be an all-star, or has he tapped out everything he could? Harris is becoming a great addition to the team, and hopefully is a loyal addition as well. I believe he could thrive even further in the system that Michael Malone has for the Nuggets. That is the reason why I say that the Nuggets need to sign him and keep him around as well as Jokic.
