Gary Harris is the Nuggets’ best perimeter defender and he may have a shot at getting on an All Defensive Team next year.

Gary Harris has always specialized on the defensive end of the floor. He had a relatively down year last season on the defensive side of the ball, but look for him to bounce back this coming season.

Harris has improved drastically every year of his career, so thinking he will get even better defensively is not far of a stretch at all. Just how good can he get defensively though? I would not be surprised to see him get All Defensive honors next season.

Maybe not All Defensive First Team, but at least Second Team honors. Harris has a lot of similarities to a player like Avery Bradley, who was robbed of All Defensive honors this past year, so seeing Harris get an honor like this should not be too surprising if it does happen.

Harris will have some tough matchups with guarding stars in the Western Conference like Klay Thompson, C.J. McCollum, Damian Lillard, James Harden and Chris Paul. However, if the improvement Harris showed offensively is any indication, then he may shock some people and shut down some of the key stars in the Western Conference.

Gary Harris has shown a ton of potential on both ends of the court in this young stage of his career and getting All Defensive Team honors would be the first stepping stones to becoming a legitimate star in the NBA. It would help Harris possibly propel himself to being a future All Star and being considered one of the star two guards in the Western Conference.

Harris is someone who has the potential to get All Defensive honors come next season and should not come as a surprise to anyone if it does happen.
