Look for Kenneth Faried to come out with something to prove for the Denver Nuggets this coming season.

Kenneth Faried has been mired in trade rumors for pretty much the past four seasons now. With the Denver Nuggets’ star acquisition of Paul Millsap, Faried will most certainly be relegated to the second unit, but this should not stop him from being an effective rebounder.

Faried’s specialty has always been cleaning the glass and he is extremely fun to watch due to his hustle. However, the trade speculation has had to have gotten to him a little bit over the past couple of seasons. Not knowing whether you will be on your current team the next day has to get exhausting after a while.

This can also provide a chip on one’s shoulder as well. This could be the case with Kenneth Faried next season. This would be a welcome sign for the Denver Nuggets. Faried will want to prove to the team it would be a mistake if the Nuggets do indeed trade the power forward. On the other hand, Denver will get another great presence off the bench who can box out and rebound with the best of them.

If he accepts his new role with open arms, suddenly Denver may find even more efficiency and effectiveness from the Manimal. Faried is the type of player who will take things like this and use it as motivation to become even better and want to prove doubters wrong. Faried will be a part of an effective second unit which will most likely consist of Jamal Murray, Jameer Nelson or Emmanuel Mudiay, Juancho Hernangomez or Malik Beasley and possibly Mason Plumlee.

Faried will be battling with Darrell Arthur, Trey Lyles and Tyler Lydon for the power forward spot off the bench. However, Faried will be looking to make a statement next year.
