Bleacher Report recently ranked the top shooting guards in the NBA and surprisingly, they showed the Nuggets and Gary Harris quite a bit of respect. Bleacher Report ranked Harris the seventh best shooting guard in the league.
This means there are only six other shooting guards in the league better then the improving Nuggets two guard according to Bleacher Report. Some of the names ahead of him do make sense such as C.J. McCollum and Jimmy Butler. Not bad company for someone entering only his fourth season in the league.
Denver is lucky to have such a great young core and Gary Harris is one of the main facets of the group. The Nuggets were recently reportedly in talks for a contract extension with the shooting guard which needs to happen.
Along with Nikola Jokic, Harris is one of the most important players on the Nuggets’ roster and according to Bleacher Report, he is already a top 10 shooting guard which is extremely high praise. If Harris’ career so far is any indication, he will take this as motivation to push himself even further and get even better this season.
As a result, do not be surprised if Harris is considered a top shooting guard in the near future not just by Bleacher Report, but by other major sports sources as well.
