Gary Harris will most likely return for the next game and it will be on cue considering he is due for a break out performance.

Gary Harris has had a solid season far for the Denver Nuggets. After getting a nice contract extension, he has picked up where he left off last year in terms of efficient production.

However, he is still searching for that one game where he cements himself as one of the best players on the Nuggets roster. The game where he leads the way in scoring and does a nice job on the defensive end of the floor as well.

This game coming up with the New Orleans Pelicans will be a great opportunity for Harris to separate himself from the pack and finally have a coming out party to kick off the new season which is almost in the middle of the year already.

Gary will most likely be matched up with New Orleans’ own Jrue Holliday, who is a very athletic guard, so Harris will have his hands full defensively. But, Harris is perfectly capable of containing Holliday. Harris will get plenty of looks offensively considering the Pelicans have an advantage in the front court with two of their stars manning the paint in Anthony Davis and Demarcus Cousins.

As a result, look for the Nuggets to utilize their perimeter shooters to get an advantage which will mean freeing up Gary for some open jump shots by using some off ball screens. Especially for open three point shots in the corner.
