The Denver Nuggets are coming off a huge win over the New Orleans Pelicans. A win which saw them post the highest scoring output of any NBA team so far this season (146 points.)

Now, they will try to start a streak in the City of Angels as they take on the young Los Angeles Lakers. Regardless of how far each team has fallen or how much better one is, this matchup is always one which gets Denver fans up on their feet.

Their is so much history between these two franchises which makes this somewhat of a intriguing Western Conference rivalry. Denver has to be wary as the Lakers have plenty of young talent who are growing and meshing together.

In the NBA, any team can beat any team on any given day. Denver will look to ride off the hot hand of Jamal Murray who had a great 31 performance against the Pelicans where he pulled off his best Steph Curry impersonation.

The Nuggets will have to key in on Kyle Kuzma as he has been a terrific revelation for the Los Angeles Lakers and will give them their best chance at defeating the Nuggets with a big game. Denver is set to play their next 14 out of 20 games on the road and a win over the Lakers to kick it off would be perfect for this young Nuggets squad.

If the Nuggets want to eventually be considered contenders, they must make a habit of defeating the teams they are supposed to beat, a habit which has plagued Denver in the past years.
